What’s Open In Hereforshire from June 2021 onwards

Many events and venue’s are starting to open up again in Herefordshire, below are just a few ideas of places to visit.

Hereford Guided Walks:- Join Hereford Guild of Guides  to see Hereford’s interesting and historic buildings and other structures, hear about the history of the city through the ages from Saxon times, its role in the Civil War and its famous people.  The tours last about one and a half hours, starting at the main entrance of the Cathedral at 11.30aml. There is no need to book in advance, but you will need to purchase a ticket prior to joining the walk.  Tuesday 1st September till Saturday 31st October 2020


Hellens Manor: –   Set in the rural landscape of Herefordshire, Hellens Manor is a much-loved historic Tudor/Jacobean home.  Gardens, grounds and tearooms open Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday. Book for House Tours.


Hergest Croft Gardens: – Over 28 ha (70 acres) with more than five thousand rare trees and shrubs.  Described as “one of the finest collections of trees and shrubs in the British Isles”. As the Tea Rooms are closed at present, so why not take a picnic as they have lots of benches around the gardens, with some amazing views. No need to book.


Hampton Court Castle: – Hampton Court Castle started its journey in the early 15th Century. Set in the delightful Herefordshire countryside, surrounded by vast lawns, a stunning woodland backdrop, and magnificent award-winning gardens, the estate has an interesting and varied history.


Westonbury Mill Water Gardens: – Home to the largest cuckoo clock in England, over 3 acres of vivid and colourful plants are laid out across a twist of streams and ponds and a wildflower meadow.


Westons Cider: – Tours have resumed, café open, booking essential.


Hop Pocket Shopping Village: – A collection of independent shops offering an alternative to both the high street and characterless out of town shopping. Great place both buy and sample local Herefordshire produce.


Brockhampton Estate: – A traditionally farmed estate and medieval moated manor house offering scenic walks, activities and historical tours.  Booking essential.
