Sink Green Farm News

Re-opening 4th July

Comments Off on Re-opening 4th July

David & Sue are looking forward to welcoming guests back again into Sink Green Farm B & B, and would like to assure all our guests that we have put into place good practice of cleaning and disinfecting as per the government guidelines. We have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure we are ready for a safe reopening for both ourselves and guests. Having carried out a full risk assessment throughout our farmhouse we have adjusted some of our operating processes to ensure we follow all government guidelines. This will inevitably affect some of the services and personal interactions we have had with our guests previously, but we must put the welfare and safety of us all first.

We will be asking all new guests to fill in a ‘Registration Form’ online before arrival, and where possible to arrange to pay by BACS on day of departure.

We will be asking everyone, either by signage or verbally to observe the 1m plus social distancing and the washing of hands.  To use the sanitizing gel and wipes provided when necessary.

In the unlikely event guests have contracted Covid-19 before/during their stay, they MUST return to their main residence immediately and not self-isolate here. For this reason, they will be advised to keep their car fuelled up to avoid any stops. We hope guests will continue to enjoy their stays with us in these difficult times.

Notice of Closure

Comments Off on Notice of Closure

Following the recent government enforcement of closure for certain hospitality providers, we have reconsidered our own position and have sadly reached the decision in order to help prevent the rapid spread of Coronavirus, Sink Green Farm B & B will be closed to guests until further notice. This will take effect from tonight, Monday 23rd March.

We are following the advice coming from government closely but must consider the health of our staff, local residents and of course the massive extra burden on our local NHS should guests become ill whilst staying.  The extra demand on our local food shops that are struggling daily to maintain levels of food stocks for our local community also fairs in our decision.

Many local attractions have also closed their doors until further notice and a number of the fantastic places that we are normally able to advise our guests to visit are understandably not welcoming tourists just at the present time.

If you already have accommodation booked with us in the next few months, we suggest you make contact with us in order that we may discuss a path forwards that is acceptable to both, you and us.

Once the government advice is such and we are confident that the virus threat is no longer with us, we will be opening for bookings again. Sink Green Farm B & B is a fantastic place to visit with plenty of fresh countryside air and lots of things to see and do – both Herefordshire and rural tourism in general, will need your support when we are able to resume our normal daily lives.

We hope you all stay safe and thank you for your patience and understanding at this unprecedented time.

Sue and David at Sink Green Farm B & B

Sadley at the moment there are no pre-planned events happening, or venues open.

Please be assured that once the government advice is such and we are confident that the virus threat is no longer with us, we will be promoting our countryside and the lots of things to see and do  Herefordshire

Highly recommended.

I stayed here with a colleague because we were attending a nearby medical course. The working farm doubles as a lovely bed and breakfast. Sue and her husband are fantastic hosts and could not have been more helpful. They even dropped us at the course both mornings in their car – though it’s walkable too. Rooms had everything we needed and breakfast was delicious. Great place. Thank you.

We have just had a very enjoyable return 12 day holiday to Sink Green Farm

Where the hosts Sue and David could not do enough to ensure your stay is one you are unlikely to forget. The rooms are spacious and clean with views over the surrounding countryside. Breakfast sets you up for the day visiting the Hereford countryside and beyond. The summer house with hot tub is an excellent location to spend the evening sitting with a glass of wine or a good book. This is a B&B that we would not hesitate to recommend or return to. Relaxing Week at Sink Green Farm

We stayed a week with Sue and David at this very relaxing farm house. The room with the four poster bed was well appointed with wonderful views over the countryside. The days started with an excellent breakfast and convivial conversation with the other guests. A dip in the hot tub at the end of the day ensured a good night’s sleep.

We found loads to do in the area visiting Hereford, Hay on Wye, and south Wales.    Thank you for a lovely early summer break.                                                                                    TripAdvisor 5*

Value for money. Sue and David Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast great. clean and tidy. Full of character.                                                                                                                                            Facebook

Amazing people David and sue are very friendly and welcoming and their bed and breakfast was outstanding.                                                                                                                                   Google 5*

Three Memorable Nights
“A spacious en-suite room with a four poster bed. There was plenty of storage space, TV,   Wi-Fi, the usual tea making facilities plus a couple of comfortable seats. Dogs were welcome with plenty of space to exercise them. The breakfast was sumptuous with cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juice available before a locally sourced full English Breakfast which you could select from a wide range of options. All this with hot drinks, toast and a good range jams. Despite being a working farm we were only aware of the rolling landscape and the Wye flowing past.”  TripAdvisor 4*
